Updated Show Rules & Regulations

1. Exhibiting in the Spring Show is open to all members of Art Focus. Attendance at 4 business meetings and 4 regular meetings per year is required for members who want to exhibit in the Fall Show.

2. Each artist may submit a number of works to fit on two panels, each 44 inches tall and 39 inches wide. Available easels will be used for very large works in addition to the allotted panels.

3. In addition, artists may enter up to six (6) framed miniatures.

a. The classic miniature display will feature traditionally framed
works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastels, ink, graphite
or mixed media.
b. Image maximum size is 3" X 4" or 7 united inches (12 sq. inches).
c. Frame maximum size is 10" x 10" or 20 united inches (100 sq, inches).
d. Note that sizes may be smaller than given above.

4. Each artist may submit up to 6 unframed pieces and replace those which are sold during the show at no charge.

5. Artists may display greeting cards in the card rack only. Each card must be numbered for inventory.

6. Hanging fee is:

$3.00 per framed piece, maximum of $15.00
$1.00 per unframed piece
$1.00 per framed miniature

7. Works do not have to be for sale to be hung. If you do not want to sell, mark NFS on the registration form in the price column.

8. Art Focus retains 15% commission on all sales, including cards.

9. The registration form must be marked from 1 up in order of importance for hanging in show; this ensures that your best paintings are hung in case we don’t have enough room on the two panels.

10. The label you attach to the back of your painting must include the exact same information as the registration form.

11. On the registration form show the size of your painting, framed, giving the vertical and horizontal measurements and draw a circle around V or H to show how it is hung.

Each member is welcome to submit an image of their artwork (preferrably in jpg format) to be hosted on the website at no additional fee on a first come basis as we only have 20 spots for images. Along with your image you need to provide the following information:

Title
Artist Name
Sale Status (for sale, sold, not for sale)
Price
Framed or unframed
Size
Medium
Substrate (ie surface artwork is on)
Style (realism, abstract etc.)
Year Created
Optional - Link to your website from artwork image
Optional - Description or any additional information you would like to add

If you have your own website through MyArtClub.com, your image will also be featured above the general group gallery images.
If you have a website not hosted on MyArtClub.com, send Tracey your link and she will add it to our website under the Members Online Portfolios section.
If you have any upcoming shows, workshop or exhibits please send all of the information to Tracey to add to our website.

Featured Artist

We as a group would like to have featured artists every month, however, we need to receive information from each artist who would like to be featured to keep this going. If you would like to be featured, please send a short bio, contact information, image of artwork and image of yourself (optional) to Tracey to place on website.See the current featured artist (scroll down to end of page on main website) to get an idea of what you need to submit.

Art Focus Blog

The group blog (the page you are on now) is meant as more of a group hub where members can access all the group documentation, view the latest updates about members activities and shows and just share art information that members may enjoy. If you would like to share any art related info or news, just contact Tracey to add it to the blog.

Art Focus Wind Up Dinner and Summer Shows

We will be having our annual wind up dinner on June 23 to kick off the summer break. We will be meeting around 5 - 5:30pm at Samz Pub in Port Coquitlam

While the club will be taking a break over the summer, we will still be out and about.

Canada Day - Several of the groups artist''s will be exhibiting at Castle Park for Canada Days on July 1st from noon until 4 PM

Art in the Park - Several of the group's artists will also be at Minnekhada's Art in the Park on Aug. 21 and 22 from 11 AM to 4 PM.

Please come out and see us over the summer!
